The Tibor Jakabovics Goodwill Fund is an organization fostered by living relationships.
It has proved its ability to provide genuine solutions to crisis situations on both individual and community levels. It has witnessed a variety of struggles and fascinating stories of ups and downs, depths and heights serving as a constant source of hope and inspiration.
This website gives floor to the participants of our help campaigns who have survived their personal crises and are willing to share their experience.
Sharing such stories is a big step for those involved – but also a step forward, however small, for the humankind.
The Tibor Jakabovics Goodwill Fund is deeply personal.
It can be anything depending on the concrete needs – playgrounds, musical instruments, paintings, births, medical appliances, school supplies, houses, incubators, tools, machinery, books – sometimes just half a bun. The other half. The half of the bun you originally meant for yourself.
Personal experience: an ability to give is often stronger in those who themselves are in need. Because the need is something they have profound knowledge of.
This is sort of a shame work for the Fund.
When I had much less, I should have realized much more often that there were people in need out there. In need of a hug, a word of encouragement, a slice of bread.
My grandmother always used to say, there is nothing small enough you could not share with someone else.
Be it so!
